Illustrator currently studying in Hertfordshire, normally based in Cornwall, UK.

She allowed the dog to trot before her to the study in which her father had been entertained and there, to her well-disguised dismay, she found her host, seated beside the fire with a tray of coffee at his elbow from which she must pour.
This illustration was inspired by Angela Carter’s short story, The Courtship of Mr Lyon.

The Mermaid Of Zennor

This project explores my own interpretation of the Cornish legend The Mermaid of Zennor

Using these images I created an image led newspaper about the story.

Check out this project on my Behance Page.

The Original Beauty Pioneers

This project explores the ‘morning ritual’ that many women go through each day. Using the four products assigned by The Body Shop I have created each poster to represent a different product, along with the corresponding stage in the morning routine. I have based this idea on my personal routine combined with researching other women’s morning routines.

Storm Front, an event orangised by Midsummer Nights.

Here are some photographs from the exhibition which I was involved with last December. The full exhibition information along with all the work by the other artists can be seen on the Midsummer Nights Blog.

I was lucky enough to have had a wonderful response to my contribution included in a review written by Ruth Marler that can be read here.

Thanks to all those involved in creating such a successful pop-up exhibition.

I created this project for the Storm Front exhibition organised by Midsummer Nights last December.

My work explores my experiences of winter storms on the cliff tops beside my house whilst walking my dog. I have used colours and texture to illustrate these experiences. This is my contribution to the exhibition along with some scans of my sketchbook development work.

Tea for Two

This project is the result of a truly inspiring print-making workshop that I attended at University earlier this year. I absolutely loved the opportunity to experiment with new types of manual printing, along with exploring new textures and colours. This project ended up becoming a small hand stitched book of twelve pages, these are some of my favourite prints from the project.

This work has been entered in to the V&A Illustration Awards 2014.

Nouveau départ

There is intended significance to my decision to begin my new blog today. Having this week handed in my final university project, today is a new beginning. The start of my professional practice. The purpose of this blog is to document my transition from student to professional illustrator.

Having completed all of my projects and classes for my BA(Hons) Graphic Design and Illustration course I am now preparing myself for my upcoming graduate shows:
